I had the pleasure of being one of three witnesses to their civil ceremony at the Santa Barbara Courthouse the year prior; the experience of coming back to tell the larger story of their wedding felt like the magic of that single afternoon expanded by a hundredfold. On Friday, Isa said, "We can't wait for you to meet our friends", and over the course of the weekend, I was blown away by the constant stream of wonderful, kind, and creative people I met. I was also struck by the intentionality that Isabella & David moved through each moment with, and somehow, that desire to remain present seemed shared by each guest. By the end, a close friend of theirs said, "you're one of us now", and the honor was mine to be so warmly enveloped into this community.
