Intimate SFBG ceremony & Moongate Lounge dinner reception

Shana & Peter held a small ceremony at the San Francisco Botanic Garden with just their families in attendance. The bride handmade each of her three looks for the day, the first was a soft pink, floor length silk organza dress that caught the light with every turn. Dappled sunlight filtered through the leaves as they gathered together in the Moon Viewing Garden and exchanged vows in front of their ten guests.
Moongate, the historic lunar inspired lounge above Mister Jiu's, set the stage for a lavish evening with friends. With Wong Kar Wai as a point of inspiration, the neon lights and vibrant colors of the midcentury Chinatown space brought their vision to life. Fittingly, the couple changed into their second outfit: a handmade qipao in a scarlet brocade for Shana, and a shimmering indigo jacket with embroidered dragons for Peter. Guests were treated to Agrarian themed cocktails, live jazz, hand-painted portraits, and elevated Chinese classics like turnip cakes and Peking duck. After toasts, dessert, and a pop quiz PSAT (Peter & Shana Aptitude Test), Shana changed into her last set, an iridescent sequin jumpsuit, and the newlyweds performed an ukulele rendition of "Fly Me to the Moon". The couple closed the night out with a short walk to Harlan Records for a few more drinks and a live DJ set.
